The Ultimate 2 utilizes Bowflex's patented Power Rods, which provide resistance, or weight, that feels as good as or better than free weights--but without the inertia or risk of joint pain usually associated with free weights. You can hook one, two, three, four or all of your Power Rod units to the cable pulley system and go from as little as 5 pounds all the way up to 310 pounds of resistance (can be upgraded to 410 pounds). They're precisely manufactured from a high-tech composite material under the highest quality control measures, then sheathed and tested 4 separate times to ensure quality and durability. The Power Rod units are so strong, you can flex them repeatedly but you won't be able to wear them out.

Great Workout, Easy to Use, Helpfull enterprise : Bowflex Ultimate 2 Home Gym (Refurbished)


I have had my extreme 2 for a couple of weeks, after a month of research. What a well made piece of equipment. This unit requires a lot of space, even folded its large and it's heavy. I asked a buddy who is a teacher and is in the fitness enterprise and this model was the most recommended for home use. I had a opening to checkout the (flimsy and cheap looking)
Bowflex Pr1000 Home GymBowflex Pr3000 Home Gym/3000 at Academy Sports there is no comparison In my opinion. I am so glad I didn't take the opening on any other machine. I bought mine on Craig's list in new like condition for 1050.00 with Ab Crunch(6 or more of them in my area listed). The guy that I bought it from said it took him 2 afternoons to assemble it and I believe him. There are so many deferent exercises I did have to buy the Bowflex extreme 2 Instructional Dvd + Workout to see all its potential.
